Wedding guests often ask the couple what to give, and "whatever you like" does not help much. Make one wishlist and send the link to the guests: everyone sees what has already been taken and can pick something the couple wants.
What should you give for a wedding?
Couples like things for a shared home: bed linen, dishes, a coffee maker, decor, a kitchen set. If the couple already lives together and has most of what they need, experiences work well: a restaurant dinner, a trip, concert tickets. A wishlist helps guests who do not want to guess.
Is it fine to ask for gifts from a list?
It is a choice, not an obligation. Some couples prefer cash in an envelope, others prefer items from a list. A wishlist imposes nothing: a guest can take an item from the list or give something of their own. Mention in the invitation that a list exists and leave the choice to the guests.
What budget should a wedding gift have?
A rough split looks like this. Small items up to 500 UAH: candles, a set of cups, a card with good wishes. Items at 1000-3000 UAH: bed linen, a dish set, decor. Anything above 5000 UAH works well as a group gift. These are examples with no market statistics behind them, so adjust the sums to your own circle of guests.
How do you avoid getting the same wedding gift twice?
Send guests the link with the invitation or in a chat. Everyone opens it without an account and sees what is still free. To reserve a gift they sign in quickly without a password, using an email link or Google. After that the item shows as taken, and there will not be two identical coffee makers at the wedding.
How do you split the cost of a big wedding gift?
Add an expensive item to the list, such as a trip or an appliance, and tell guests it is a group gift. One organiser reserves it, collects money from whoever wants to join and buys it. The others see it is already in progress. Agree on the sums among yourselves, because Bazha does not collect money.
