New Year is welcomed on the night of 31 December into 1 January, and gifts usually wait under the tree. Time is short before the holidays, so it helps to plan them early. Make one wishlist and send the link to family and friends: everyone sees what has already been taken.
What should you give for New Year?
New Year gifts are loved for their mood: string lights and tree decorations, warm socks, tea or coffee sets, board games, books, a voucher for a class or a massage. Kids like building sets and games, adults like things for the home and hobbies. If someone dislikes surprises, a wishlist removes the risk: the gift comes from their own list.

A rough split looks like this. Small items up to 300 UAH: a tree decoration, tea, a candle, a card. Mid-range items at 500-1500 UAH: a sweater or throw, a board game, a nice book. Anything above 2000 UAH works well as a group gift. These are examples with no market statistics behind them, so adjust the sums to your own circle.
How do you avoid buying the same New Year gift twice?
Send the wishlist link to the family or friends chat. Everyone opens it without an account and sees what is still free. To reserve a gift they sign in quickly without a password, using an email link or Google. After that the item shows as taken, and there will not be two identical sweaters under the tree.
How do you split the cost of a big New Year gift?
Add an expensive item to the list, say a robot vacuum, and say in the chat that it is a group gift. One organiser reserves it, collects money from whoever wants to join and buys it. The others see it is already in progress. Agree on the sums among yourselves, because Bazha does not collect money.
Can one list cover St. Nicholas Day, Christmas and New Year?
It can. The holidays follow one another: St. Nicholas Day is 6 December, Christmas is 25 December, and New Year is welcomed on 31 December. Assign items to dates and say in the chat what is meant for which holiday. Leave small things for St. Nicholas Day and bigger ones for Christmas or New Year. A separate New Year list works when the guests differ: family gives at Christmas, and friends and colleagues at New Year.
Who is a New Year wishlist for?
For families, friends and teams where everyone wants to give something of their own. Grandparents see what has been chosen and do not repeat what the grandchildren give. Relatives who live far away order online knowing the gift will not be duplicated. In a team, each person makes a short list of small things under 300 UAH, and whoever gives picks from it.

When should you send the New Year list?
